Port Richmond
High School students continued their annual tradition of helping to light the
Christmas Tree that is in front of the VNA building located at 400 Lake Ave. At
the event the school participated in multiple ways. The Culinary SLC served cookies and hot chocolate, the
marching band performed Christmas carols, and two students came out and sang
holiday classics. The two students that came out to perform for the crowd were
Kaitlynn Gonzalez and Karinna Ramos. Ramos performed Last Christmas, originally performed by WHAM!, and Gonzalez
performed Christmas (Baby Please Come
Home), originally performed by Mariah Carey. A week before the event
student government members came out and helped Mr. Medugno decorate
the front of the building with garland that lights up, hanging ornaments,
snowflakes, and poinsettias.
