The Culinary Arts Academy held their annual Thanksgiving Feast for the students. The Food was prepared by nearly all the culinary classes, and was served by students that volunteered to help out rather than eat the food themselves. At the event, they served cornbread, stuffing, mashed potatoes, string beans with almonds, carrots, sweet potato cubes, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and of course, turkey. Jessica Gottlieb, culinary student, helped make the sweet potatoes. “The sweet potatoes were fun to make, my hands were covered in sugar. Mr. Ryan outdid himself again this year for the event.” said Gottlieb. Valfred Martinez really loved the food and the mashed potatoes were his favorite. Mr. Marra said the apple pie was delicious and the stuffing, cornbread, mac and cheese were good. Mr. and Mrs. Santos said they loved the apple pie with the great filling. The culinary students and teachers both enjoyed being together at the event.
