New Year, New You! New Year's Resolutions!

It's a brand new year, and our Raiders are back with a vengeance, working hard in pursuit of their goals, goals that include brand new experiences, new friendships, and new opportunities. While for some, resolutions may seem silly, to others, these are goals to pursue and accomplish within the year. And of course, Port Richmond Raiders are always full of energy and ready to take on any challenge.

Senior Chris Donohoue wants to "get at least an 85 average."

Senior David Winnick wants to "improve [his] homework habits."

Senior Veronica Cruz wants "to take control of [her] life."

Senior Taylor Sammarco plans to "do better in school."

Senior Godfred Brobbey wants "to be a better Christian."

Senior Didem Yilmaz wants to "stop being late to class."

English teacher and track coach Ms. Oliveri wants to "dedicate [herself] to being the number one outdoor track coach."

"My New Year's Resolution is to focus more on myself because I always put my friends and family first, but now that I'm getting older I need to start focusing on my own life," says junior Shonia Mitchell.

Senior Erik Moran wants "to accomplish something amazing that is worth recognition by a large group of people."

Senior Sergio Andujar wants to "graduate high school."

Junior Carla Madera plans to "get a 90 average."

Senior Edgar Varela's resolution is to "build muscles."

"I want all the drama to stop," says junior Lisandra Melendez.

Seniors Clint Magzul and Richard Bautista want to be the best at the popular Street Fighter video game series.

US History teacher Mr. Luongo wants to "be a better person."

Assistant Principal of History Ms. Pollari's resolution is "to eat less fried food, eat healthier, and join a gym."

Virtual Enterprise teacher Mr. O'Brien wants to "spend more time with [his] wife and daughter."

Health teacher Mrs. Walters' resolution is "to relax... to have a happy 2010."

Principal Gannon's New Years Resolution? "Be the best that I can be."

We wish the best for all Raiders who have set out to accomplish their goals. Whether they be to do better in school, become a better person, or simply be better at video games, they've all taken the first steps in improving themselves. Good luck to them, and to anyone with their own resolutions. Happy New Year!
